Surrender, Let go, Bend and Live Life

It is still retrograding and certainly I am also still going slow and unsteady at times. There are still gaps in communication between and among the people I care about. The thought of making decisions concerning jobs online are still hazy. The episode continues...

Earlier today, I practiced with Sasheen at Joji's place. I was thinking at first I was that tired that I might not even finish the primary series. Lo and behold, with the warmth of the place and the sweat that's flooding my body, I was able to complete my full primary until yoganidrasana. I felt stronger and more flexible. I sensed a deeper grasp of the difficult poses because my breathing was steadier and more stable.

It was amazing how I could do the drop back more than three times. What was more surprising was I was able to reach almost my ankles all by myself. Of course, I fell on my fourth attempt. I was really grateful. My yogi friends encouraged me to do it again. With Joji's assistance I did it for the last time. It was one of the most surprising feat of my being an ashtangi.

I have so much in store in my heart. I also have my worries about my family. I have my concerns about my job, my life partner, my plans and all but I guess despite all these human struggles, I know how to surrender. I know How to bend and to let go. I believe yoga has taught me that things happen but I need to live life because there is still so much beauty out there.

I am grateful for today. I am thankful that I was given the chance to let go and embrace what is in the NOW.

I wish you well dear friends.

Namaste.

6 days with Teacher Mo

Photo grabbed from https://www.facebook.com/groups/1380430552272324/

Life has been colorful for me this May. Aside from my everyday home practice, I subscribed for a 6-day mysore class with Teacher Mo at Beyond Yoga Libis. It was a great practice with him aside from the fact that the heat actually became my ally as it literally detoxified me.

I felt like a newbie in the shala though I had spent few days having self-practice there. It seemed a bit strange that I was practicing with mostly new set of ashtangis under the tutelage of a new teacher, at least for me. I was grateful that as the days went by, I was feeling more at home with my new space and fellow practitioners.

Generally, my 6 days with the teacher has been fruitful. I love how he made his adjustments on the poses. His presence was very commanding but gentle. One thing I noticed though was his being traditional in his approach. He would instill in us really the right way to do the pose and he would tend to get cute and funny when he reprimands those that defied traditions. I was honestly a bit scared doing other poses in the intermediate series as I was thinking he might give me such a hard time repeating them. Anyway, he was actually nice to me. I loved it when he respected my plea to be gentle doing the deep  backbends because of my scoliosis.

Of course, bakasana was a bit heavy for me as I was being disoriented as to how to do it. I guess that was where I stopped my practice with him.

Today, I told him it was my last day. I thanked and hugged him because I was/am really very grateful. His energy was contagious and I would certainly miss his big voice while checking on us.

The six days were really significant because I had the chance to meet other practitioners and shared the energies with them. I would surely miss taking the jeepney going to the shala but I have to move on and bring with me the things I learned from teacher Mo in my daily practice,

Someday, I will have more teachers to practice with but in my heart, I am very grateful that another good teacher has come into my life. Thanks Teacher Mo.

Namaste!

I did it!

The women, with James, outside the shala poses after our last practice with teacher Arne

One of the greatest gifts I got within my birthday month was the opportunity to practice regularly at the shala with teacher Arne. What seemed to be one impossibility just actually culminated today. Yes! I practiced ashtanga everyday (with rest days of course) for 3 weeks and I have been so blessed.

Everything went well. Even when there were discomforts at times specially with my lower back, I felt generally stronger and more fluid compared to my previous practices. As I dealt with my body everytime, I discovered that breathing well mattered so much. I have also relearned to be more gentle to myself and by doing so, the teacher resonated  to the way I cared about my body.

I loved how the guru adjusted me. I appreciated how much he also had grown in his approach to us, his students. He didn't impose things to me. He allowed me to grab my ankles when I was deemed ready. He pointed things that could make my asanas better but at the end of the day, it was always me that would teach my body to do the poses.

My constant coming to the shala also expanded my circles. I have gained friendships without my noticing it. The energy from the practioners was contagious. Even if we came from different walks of life, there was yoga that made us one.

I am grateful for after practice conversation over lunch. Even a simple chat right at the changing room is beautiful. I love the yogic smiles of men and women who share the same passion with me. I am sure I will be missing the routine.

Since yoga is also all about non-attachment, I' m letting go naturally any feeling of longing or the desire to be with the same journey. I need to move on and continue with my practice. I am certain at some point, we will meet again physically. Right now, I am just very happy and grateful I practiced.

There will be more to come.

Om shanti, shanti, shanti.

A random trip

the heaviness that I feel is getting more overwhelming each day but this self is grateful for despite the ordeal, I still find any chance that I can get to keep myself grounded. Aside from few asanas each time, I do not  forget to stay closer to nature. Nothing beats the joy when you're home.

Yesterday, I visited a nearby park and I was so happy just by being there. Meeting few good souls made me feel more safe. I am very grateful for Kuya Roger, one of the gardeners there who became my photographer and tour guide. You see, the world is still very beautiful, indeed.

Here are some of the photos from Rave Rainforest Park in Pasig. Namaste.

The Best of Me ..My favorite quotes

I decided to watch this film today after having some doubts. You see, I am still not centered up till now  and most of all, my emotions are way too low.  Blame it to PMS:) Anyway, after church, I purchased my ticket and with my favorite pop corn and a bottle of water, I went inside the cinema 15 minutes early. See, that's how punctual I am.

The movie was good. It has made me recall fond memories of people who were with me at some points in my life. The idea of loving someone for so long a time is really not an illusion after  all. Even if you won't end up being with that person anymore, love is still valid. There is never any limit to loving. Indeed, when you meet the right person, the best of you surfaces. I know it.:)

These are some good quotes I love bringing with me through life. There is so much wisdom, pain, joy and love in here.  Take time.

1. “That's why I loved being with you. We could do the simplest things, like toss starfish into the ocean and share a burger and talk and even then I knew that I was fortunate. Because you were the first guy who wasn't constantly trying to impress me. You accepted who you were, but more than that, you accepted me for me. And nothing else mattered-- not my family or your family or anyone else in the world. It was just us.”

2. “Don't take my advice. Or anyone's advice. Trust yourself. For good or for bad, happy or unhappy, it's your life, and what you do with it has always been entirely up to you.”

3. “Life was messy. Always had been and always would be and that was just the way it was, so why bother complaining? You either did something about it or you didn’t, and then you lived with the choice you made.”

4. “I don't know that I've ever felt as happy as I did that day, but then again, it was always like that when we were together. I never wanted it to end.”

5.“You'll make mistakes and struggle like everyone, but when you are with the right person, you'll almost perfect joy, like you are the luckiest person who ever lived. And that means you'll love and be loved...and in the end, nothing else really matters.”

On relationships

There are things in life that aren't easy to handle. Relationships are one of them. Because we are relational beings, we can't help but but be affected with all that transpire between and among those surrounding our circles. Any glimpse of joy and sorrow, hope and despair, conflict and peace are always consciously and unconsciously shared with the rest of humanity, far and near.

I have my equal share of these seemingly difficult to handle things. I am talking about my family. It is very hard not to get affected. At the same time, it is so dramatically suffocating to get attuned to what each member is going through. Still, amidst all these conflicted paradigms, I come across a very sublime way of dealing with anything like this. I have to be centered. I don't have to forget that life only gives us something that we can handle. We just need to be steady for any hint of panic will surely devastate the natural course of things.

A friend confided to me today about her ordeal concerning her relationship with a boyfriend. I see that she's undergoing a vicious cycle of "what to do about this relationship?" syndrome. AS Yogins, that's what we call ourselves, I help her acknowledge that there is always this thing called "letting go." There are just things in life that don't matter in the end. Even people.

Any relationship has to be a good one. Something that allows the participant to grow, to breathe, to be. If there is any form of oppression, I guess it's time to change gear.

Life offers us choices. At the end of the day, I guess we have to make sure that we are doing justice to ourselves because it is only by doing so that we can be of great relationship with others.

Namaste!

the art of friendship

If there is one thing that inspires me so much in this world, it is always being able to connect with souls that would leave a huge impact in my life. These earthling could be anyone i meet randomly or she/he could be someone i constantly encounter at a particular setting.
Today was just one of those blessed random moments when my fellow yogin, Redge and I had spent four straight hours of conversations over a lunch. It was sheer fluid interaction between souls who didn't need extra effort to keep the conversation going. There was raw emotion involved. Tears naturally flowed after telling and hearing poignant personal stories.
It was so soulful yet fun at the same time. My heart until now is very grateful for my Redge.
    Real friendship is always raw...pure..simple..unassuming.
    Thank you Universe:)

Great day!~

Today's practice was very fluid, smooth, peaceful, quiet, relaxed and refreshing. I know i shouldn't compare one practice with another but I couldn't help but honor more the Universe for whatever transpired today. My first teacher's back and that's a BONUS. This self is happy because it has been a while since I last practiced with him. The after practice brunch turned into a great avenue for discussion about things that matter beyond yoga. It's overwhelming to know that I will be on my third year of being an asthangi and I know with the help of the Universe, I will go a long way.

Despite the hurdles and blocks along the way, what exactly matters is just today and because I was so present and I guess I still am, I feel I am the most peaceful specie in this whole Universe.

Here's sending you my great vibes, my light and and joy.

Namaste!

Daily Examen 3-4

Noteworthy of my adventures since yesterday is my ability to snap easily. I know I have generally a great deal of patience. It would take me a while before I lose my cool. I am a patient teacher but because I am not quite the sane woman today, there are few instances in my dealings with my lovely kids that I tend to get annoyed.I am not comfortable being like this but I need to forgive myself more. My hormones are very disharmonized already.

I have been exchanging messages to the person whom I considered a good friend many months ago. I realized that I am really angry at what she and the other woman did. I thought I was alright backing off but telling them what I truly feel is a different story. I just have to stop communicating.Saying my piece allowed me to be  doomed to judgment.I am just happy I sent my message across even if it was interpreted the other way around.

I reflected on my friendships. There is always that cycle of letting go's.I couldnt handle injustice.I dont want to spoil people.I know I am very different from the rest.I feel at times that people get to abuse my kindness to the point of not anymore thinking about what I would feel. I guess I need to pause.Real friendships don't make one stay at the losing end.I still believe in equality.

I still am not talking nor calling home. I feel im still trapped at the kind of family that I have. I need clarity of thoughts. Right now, I am just feeling that they just need me financially.I am really tired of giving. I want at this point to also receive something even just a little.I am very sorry to my God for feeling this way. I know there is no stopping generosity.I need HIM to touch my heart and make me a genuinely generous person towards my very own family.

I still need healing now. As my monthly guest approaches, I am getting more monstrous in a way. I want to do yoga practice but my body says NO. I can only afford few breathing and meditation.I am where my body is right now. I am doing my daily thing but I really just want to sleep.

Namaste!

Three Nights in Singapore

I have missed writing.I have been very busy the past few days.Specifically, I went to Singapore for a three day vacation with Reena and Jay R. I had a blast, I must say.

With Jay r and Reena upon arrival

It was my first trip abroad and I was a little jittery knowing that the Immigration officials might find reason for me not to travel.I was glad I made it without difficulty. It was just disappointing that someone who didnt know exactly about travelling had to scare us off but that was forgiven.

the skyscrapers

Travel was fun. After more than three hours we arrived safely.Jay R was already waiting for us.I love taking the taxi, the bus and of course the train. Food was also fantastic.I felt like I was still in Manila but it's just the cleaner and more peaceful version.I love people watching. It's a nice way to learn other culture.

My first bus ride

Visiting the temples was the best thing for me. I had the chance to meditate shortly at the Buddhist temple.Peace overwhelmed me.

There were friendships made too.I was being introduced to some of Jay r's choirmates. They were such good company.

at the Buddhist temple

The weather was humid i must say.Still, it didnt dampen my spirit. It was a great moment for me to be away from my computer for a few days.Forgetting that i had so much work to do was kind of surreal but that was what actually happened.I was also glad that i was able to do yoga in our hotel room.My two buddies also joined me.Jay r even did a backbend. What an achievement!

I arrived in Manila last Tuesday.I didnt get a good sleep as we travelled so late.It was raining profusely and as of my writing this, the sun has not been that generous enough.I am still glad I made it to Singapore.I am very grateful for Reena and Jay R for being very good to me.Their generosity is always appreciated.

I am looking forward for my next Asian travel.I hope i can make it to Malaysia for the conference. In shallah, yes!

Here are some photos of my three day escapade...

Things will be ok

from google images

This self is having a bad digestion again.I really dont know what to eat anymore.I guess it's not really the food that I'm eating that makes my tummy uncomfortable but it's the kind of life i had these days. It's not that my lifestyle is bad but it is really because I have so much in my plate for the past weeks. My thoughts arent really consistent since i have so much preoccupations. What with my family coming for a weekend visit, my  case studies, my readings, my online classes, and my yoga teacher leaving. Then there is already that little excitement felt about my trip to Singapore by the end of this month. There is also my overwhelming desire to learn the headstand and all those difficult poses that Margaux has introduced me too. Now, all these and more are popping into my system and because I'm a thinker, a part of me suffers. Then this is the best time to just stay on the mat and do the savasanas.Boy, I missed it today.

This thinker has got to decide by the way which to prioritize.Indigestion is caused by eating things up even when there is no need to. So, today with a deep breathing, I must fix my eyes on my students who are hungry for my attention. Then there is my family who will be coming over tomorrow. There will be seven souls in the house for two days in my little space and I wish the Universe will allow all of us to breathe. I have to give up some classes to be with them. Now, the dilemna is what to do with this clan on Saturday as I really do wish to attend  Jon's last class. The answer will be revealed tomorrow evening.

I went to see my mentor today and I had a blast. I just had information overload. There were a lot of ideas coming in and out of my brain but the thought of finishing it in time for the presentation paralyzes me.I have to stop thinking about dates then and just do what I have to do. Still, there is a need to set the writing aside, at least for the weekend since my  family will be around.

Now i need to rest knowing there is that powerful being who knows what he is about. The heck with my worries. But honestly, I am still tensed now. Need Hugs!

Got to park. This little heart is trying to say something. In the end everything will be ok Jenny.

This Heart is a bit sad...but joyful

our very first photo during my earlier practices

It just dawned on me today that my very first yoga teacher for six months will be leaving soon.He will have his last class with us next Saturday. As for me, today might be my last with him.My family will be coming over for their weekend visit and  I am not certain if I could still join his class then. I am beginning to be sad.

I had one of the greatest practices today. While on my full backbends, he guided me to stand on my feet.I couldnt really do it when I attended a mysore class, but with him as my teacher, it seemed so easy.He asked me to do it twice with his arms circling my waist.Boy, I did it!

on my birthday at a Greek Resto, with the book he gave
I gave him our send off gift after the practice.Jiah and Angel weren't there so I was the only one who handed it to him.It was a bit frustrating that the size was small.I hope the store could still change it to medium. We talked for a while as usual.

He hugged me afterwards.I remember the first time that we embraced.I felt my teacher's warmth.I was so touched by the gesture.I will forever remember the friendship that we share.

Reality sank in while I was travelling on the way to the pancake house to have lunch.I wanted to cry because my heart was already very heavy. I didnt even know it was coming. I thought I was ready for his leaving as I had learned it for a few months already.I just couldn't cry in front of other people at the mall.I wanted to run home and hide in my bed and just really let my emotions out. I needed to compose myself though.I had to pay my bills and do some food shopping.More importantly, I need to focus.MY anxiety can be controlled, baby.

When I reached home, I looked at our photos and talked to it.I thanked him again and then I cried.I stayed in bed and just dwelt on whatever it was I was feeling.I just had separation anxiety.Who wouldn't have?He is such a special soul for me.My dreams were all revelations of the connection that the two of us have.

Jon with me, angel and jiah during our send off lunch for him @Kebab's factory

Now, that he will be away, Im sure it will be a different vibe in the shala. The universe certainly will help me strengthen my heart. At this juncture, I am just slowly getting better.Crying is healing.

Jon is a great soul.In time, we will meet again.Wherever and whenever, they don't really matter. Here in my heart, he is already etched. My dear guru will surely be missed but I am very happy he's spreading his wings again.

Farewell Jon.Farewell my teacher.Stay peaceful and Happy.

My love and prayers are with you.OM.

Amy's Day

with the cake I gave her

Today is Amy's birthday.I am so grateful that she chose to celebrate it with me and with his brother Donn. The three of us invaded DADS in Greenhills. It was my first time there and believe me I couldnt eat more than what my belly could contain. It was a buffet lunch and I guess i had eaten much. Amy and Donn urged me to eat more but I didnt have anymore the strength to do so.I opted for seafood and vegetarian dishes.I loved the Filipino delicacies too.I also had the taste of some Japanese variety.I realized one thing though...Buffet isnt really for me.I am not a big eater and paying much isnt really worth it. Here are some photos of that great day.

Another gift today

from google images

Hello readers! I have been so tired for the last couple of days that I ended up not writing anything stuffy in here..I guess it started last Saturday evening. The woman thing is here again and I am enjoying my time. I need to stay cool despite the ordeal for I dont want to get overwhelmed by this gift.

I went to practice at the shala today.Traffic was terrible and I thought I would be so late that I ended up taking a taxi somewhere in Galeria. When I arrived, I saw two great women practicing with the teacher.I did my savasana then started my surya namaskar.Margaux was already behind me.I knew she was intently observing my chaturanga dandasana. I was scooping when I heard her scream, "YES! You did it!" I stopped in the middle of the upward dog and looked at her.I smiled and I still couldnt believe I did it.My practice at home was worth it. :)

I was doing alright with the rest of the poses when I suddenly felt the discomfort at my back. My teacher noticed it too.She asked if I had scoliosis and I affirmed it. My pelvic muscles were also beginning to hurt.I told her my period was coming but I just really wanted to stretch. She told me to do some yin poses to relax my nerves.

I didn't do the rest of the poses anymore.I have felt  that my legs were trembling.I had cramps so I did my finishing poses then my savasana.I was told to lift my legs up on the wall. It was more relaxing.

The best thing happned after the practice today. I had a great time conversing with Margaux. It was so natural for us to simply share things not only about yoga but life in general.I guess we talked for an hour.We became very opened and comfortable with each other. It was awesome.

We hugged and gave assurance that we would see each other in the next practices soon.I had found a new friend again.I am very grateful for another like mind. She's very encouraging about my practice.I am more inspired to be a yogin.

I went home bringing with me great memories of my encounter with myself and my teacher.I am happy i have another great person to handle me in time of Jon's absence.

Despite my cycle now, I am still glad that I went to the shala today. The universe must have been preparing me to welcome another great guru.I am blessed as always.

OM.

nothing much

There is nothing much to write.yesterday was a tough day for me as I struggled with my body pains.I almost fell from the stairs and I ended up hurting my right arm.I lost balance when I went down because I have had a headache. It's the women thing coming.I  didnt go to church and I spent more time in bed.I also continued writing my fifth story.Up until now it's not yet done.I dont want to think of deadlines.I just want to do what I can.Oh please..I need more wisdom.

I wanted to go to the shala to practice today but my right arm and shoulders were still painful.I decided instead to do surya namaskar.I felt better afterwards.Amy invited me to go to the salon.I went with her and had footspa. It was a nice bonding. We went to mail something at the post office then bought some food and had lunch at pizza hut.We also went inside a thrift store.I ended up buying a white top worth fifty pesos.Indulgence!

My classes were great today.I also had seen The finale of America's Got Talent and the Semi-Finals fo UK's Got to Dance. These shows really amuse me.In between my breaks, I continued with my writing. I hope I would finish this story tomorrow.

I am looking forward to see my family real soon.Im a bit anxious too as I dont know yet how much i willbe getting from my students this Month.I pray for more contentment.May I learn to trust the universe more this time.

I am generally up and about today.I am glad I am not very emotionally bothered by my PMS.I am grateful for whatever transpired on this last Monday of June. Tomorrow's another milestone.I am ready

Im sending hugs and prayers to everyone.Goodnight!

Namaste!

Weeklong highlights 3

I was sharing in my previous blog that that it has been profusely raining in Manila and in other parts of the Philippines.Typhoon Falcon has devastated our country. We were constantly praying though that it wont be as damaging as Ondoy.Memories of a tragic storm were haunting me really. My friend Amy had to brave the floody streets just to go to work.Luckily my place wasnt that affected so she came and changed for work.It was a brave decision for her to still go. :)

Abelle, my yoga mate texted me earlier yesterday morning asking me if there would be a class. It was still raining hard and i really didnt feel like going out.I texted Jon for confirmation. He said there's class so  I decided then to attend. There was just some positive energy in me that's left. I arrived earlier at the place because I was nearing my biggest ordeal my low mood seemed to enslave me.I didnt want to go up.I just wanted to shy away.Tsk.tsk.Fortunately my will to practice was much stronger than my hormonal imbalance. So I went up and talked to another yogin who had just finished her mysore.

It was nice to converse with her.Jon went out of the shala and he told me i might be alone today. That was a joke actually.I was amused at the thought that I might really be alone practicing with him, Thankfully Angel and Jiah arrived. Then there was also another woman. We were four women practicing with Jon.

The practice was great again.I had less difficulty doing my my binds.I felt that my body was way too flexible.I was feeling alrigh despite my huge sweating. In the middle of the asanas, I had labored breathing.Ahhh, I was tired. I fought with my body's hormonal imbalance. I won but while doing savasana, I was coughing.I felt weak.I just breathed and I was relaxed again.

We went out together with Jon because Yoga Manila Ortigas had a send off lunch for him.He was so playful while we were on our way.I was very glad when he's like that. Laughters were all around us.Jiah and Angel had a great time too, I knew it.As for  me, It wasnt my first time.I had always great conversations with him.

We arrived at Kebab's Factory, an Indian vegetarian resto. The other yoginis were already there. It was nice seeing the other teachers.Conversation with great women was HEAVEN for me.Of course, there were a few whom i still felt uncomfortable with.I guess it's normal.Lunch was all vegetarian variety. The little serving of everything made me so full.Jon was very happy obviously. I held his hand and just paid attention to him.Things will change BIG TIME when I will no longer have a glimpse of him at the shala.I guess every yogin that day had stories to tell about Jon.AS for me....He is a special teacher and I know he knows that.

We bought Jon's send off gift at GAP then Angel had to go for she's Thailand bound that night.Jiah and I went to watch a movie after having coffee at Starbucks, Galeria. Forever and A day is a filipino film which starred Kc Concepcion and sam Milby. I must say, they did justice to their roles.

It was a great friendship.I am blessed again.

I went home and felt that my head's gonna burt with pain.I felt so heavy and sleepy at the same time.I taught Carrie but had to reschedule ricky's class.I needed to be in bed.I watched Pilipinas Got Talent Grand finals.I was a bit relaxed watching the awesome perfomances.Still, my body's beginning to get tired.

When I woke up today, I had stiff neck.My whole body's stiff too.I am sporting a cold again.I had to cancel my classes.I had a simple breakfast then stayed in bed.I didnt feel like going out.I didnt hear mass obviously.

I tried to do some chores to stretch my muscles. Then a thought about my old laptop came. I turned it on...and it worked.WHEW! I was planning to buy a new monitor for it but there's no need. I am thinking of giving it to my family when they will come visit me soon.EXCITED!

Right now, I am listening to some great songs on my CD.I still feel tired. My period will be coming soon.My body is telling me it needs rest and attention. So i will hear it out.

Ill try writing my third story today.I only have few months left. There will be no photos today in my blog.
Have a great Sunday readers.Rest well too.

Namaste!

Weeklong highlights 2

my chair
The tropical depression Dodong has confined me in the comforts of my home eating only fruits most of the time.Of course, it's a great diet but the thought of not having food in the house when there's a storm scared me too.Thankfully, on the fourth day the sun was generous  enough to smile at me.I went out and had my pedicure then bought my computer chair (my fourth one), hang out with the store crew for a while then had grocery shopping.

I had two great yoga practices at home too.Classes online were amazing.I was also able to transcribe two interviews and hopefully will have one before Monday. My body's a bit sore and I was sporting a cold but I got by.

The practice at the shala today was also awesome.Jon was the teacher again. It was my first time to see him with his short hair.Upon entering the place, we smiled at each other and I could not help but touch his hair.It was nice being candid to him like that. After the practice, Nature and I kept hugging each other like crazy.I love this woman guru. She's just very sweet to me.We were teasing Jon as he will be leaving for Finland soon. The three of us had a great conversation and I must say, I am really very happy I have found these beautiful souls.SIGH! Jon would be gone. He told me we still have some time together.I'm looking forward for the three of us to go out.

At the washroom/spa room, I was able to chat with 3 great women too.Ahhh, the energy after the practice was just great.

I dislike to write this but I have to.Today too, I decided not to spend time with two people I thought were my friends. It might be wrong but I had no choice.I guess I was not ready to confront nor talk to them after what they did.I hate to say this but when a relationship/friendship seems abusive I really dont hesitate to leave.I didnt want to hurt more .So i remained SILENT!.May the universe bring healing to whatever ill feelings I've got.OM.

Talking to mom on the phone was cool.I've learned that my brother's home.SIGH! again.Anyway, I am looking forward to have them with me soon in my own space.Lunch at the Pancake House was perfect.Fiesta Taco salad and Martini cinnamon Toast just made my day.

I went home a bit tired but fulfilled.I was supposed to transcribe again but my body just wanted to rest so I stayed on the mat and watched TV then took a nap.

Tomorrow's the commemoration of our FREEDOM.It's a great reminder for all of us Filipinos to be grateful to the lineage of heroes who shed blood and tears for us to be FREE.

ENJOY THE GIFT OF FREEDOM EVERYONE! BE GRATEFUL TOO.

Blessed Week

I am very grateful for the gift of this week. Each moment was like being planned by the great architect of life and I am simply executing what I was bound to do.Each person I have met and talked to has brought me new reason to go through the day.I have become a better me this week, simply because I have allowed myself to play my role in harmony with what the universe has inclined me to do.

With Cherry, Michelle's sister. My last interviewee.
Meeting a friend whom I havent seen for more than 2 years was indeed a gift.It was unplanned yet it was the best reunion of all.I have missed her and it was nice laughing with her again.
with Michelle's kids, Choi and Gerry..Ahh I have missed them.

Practicing at the shala for two times this week has made me stronger in both mind and spirit.I have felt that each breath that I took in and released was a reminder of my being alive. Each soul that I practiced with was a replica of energy that has added balance to my own. Each pose was a reflection of the kind of state my inner self was into.I love these women.

Being told that I was doing well with my practice was priceless. My teacher often commented that I did well with my backbends and that I was naturally flexible.I was humbled and exalted at the same time. No exact word would tantamount to the gratitude that I would like to express to all my teachers and the lineage of teachers who started out this yogic discipline.

I know not what happens next week.I am living everything to the UNIVERSE who has always been perfect. As for me, I will do the best I can to better my craft each day as a teacher,a student, a daughter, a friend and a co-creator.

I have come across this quote that equally speaks of what I desire to be...to do..

If you want to become whole, let yourself be partial.
If you want to become straight, let yourself be crooked.
If you want to become full, let yourself be empty.
If you want to be reborn, let yourself die.
If you want to be given everything, give everything up.
